You influence your environment

It is possible that you may find this post to be contradictory to the previous one, and perhaps it is.

When your heart has loving kindness, you feel at home wherever you are. Truly, it is a mixture of love and kindness; this should clarify for you the type of love that I mean. In short, you are experiencing god and the only way for you to know it is to feel it for yourself.

But what kind of events can trigger such a state of being? The initial months after giving birth, for example. Nonetheless, you can feel this way if you are concerned of someone because you love that person, the unselfish kind of loving (kind).

If this delicious state is the way your life is, good for you. It also means that you are living in the moment (present). If not, let this be your intention and start experimenting.

Do not be fooled that this has nothing to do with anything else. It is everything. (It is also true that love is everything.) If you have experienced it before, you know that this is a good feeling and you know joy.

Why do I say that you influence your environment? For instance, if you used to feel fear when you are at a certain place, you will be pleasantly surprise that you don't anymore. The place has not changed, only you have.

And if you are really living in this state of being, it is this way wherever you are. In short, you feel at home wherever you are, because you are at home with yourself.

Similarly with fear in your heart. If this is what you always feel in your heart, you will not really fit in wherever you are. If this is how you live your life, how can you may be seriously thwarted; how will your desires and your purpose be fulfilled?

Find out what is the cause of this fear. If you don't already know it, ask yourself and let the answer come. Then act so that this fear is removed.

Take back your power through your ability to respond (responsibility) - you choose the way you live. Life does not happen to you; you choose it and you do it all the time, whether you know it or not.

Take a vacation

And I mean it, not just a pause, but a vacation, for as long as you can.

If you are stressed out staying where you are, it is more than just a good idea to take a vacation. You can literally take refuge in a remote location.

It has to be a place that feels different from the present place but it does not have to be exotic or be at a considerable monetary expense at all. It feels like a different world to you because it inherits a different kind of energy.

And you will be influenced by your surroundings. During this time, you can take stock and perhaps change course or you may come up with ideas to manage your affairs when you return.

As for how long, that depends on how long you have been stressed out (and therefore, how off course you are). For example, if you have been struggling for decades, a year or so of vacation may be ideal.

Or, the less focussed you are, the more time you need to find yourself.

How do you deal with your challenges?

You must have heard of this phrase; the fight or flight response. In regard to the former, you may also have heard that 'what you resists persists'. The same applies to the flight response (you may be able to delay, but it will resurface sooner or later).

Do it this way - face it, but not alone.

Remember that (however hard it is), this is a test that you have chosen earlier to improve an aspect of yourself (which will in turn improve your whole self). What matters is the outcome (of the test). How it can be influenced lies in the way you respond - that is how you make a difference.

The above link opens up another post, in case you have not been reading this blog chronologically. If you have, you will understand what I mean by facing the challenge, but not alone.

So does John, author of the Power Pause. How does John deal with his challenges?

So how can my problems be solved?

I assume you are reading this blog in chronological order. You are best served this way. (The links within these paragraphs go to the related posts within this blog. You do not have to visit the links if you are reading in chronological order.)

You have felt what it was like to have those problems. You have also felt what it was like to not have those problems. Did you notice the difference?

By shifting your feelings, you shift your point of attraction.

You then conclude with gratitude.

My dear readers, you certainly initiate the solving of your problems but you do not have to do it alone. The universe is more than what you can see and neither are your choices limited by what you can see. Help yourself to solve your problem(s) quicker and enjoy life sooner.

The power of gratitude

Now that you know what it feels like if your problem(s) simply disappeared, you have indeed changed your point of attraction. (You would not want to keep attracting the same ole, same ole would you?)

Now all you have to do is to seal the deal with gratitude.

Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness, not unlike sincerity and surrender. The point is, you have to feel it to know it. It does not matter whether you verbalise it or put it into writing, just feel it.

Let it fill you so much that tears well up in your eyes. At this point, there is no question in your sincerity and surrender. Even your enemies will love you.

Go Gratitude. It is a great attitude.

How do you respond?

View it as a challenge. You simply cannot grow without some sort of chaos and yours may be just a little chaos, not enough to warrant a transformation. Nevertheless, a little chaos at a time will transform you gradually.

The trick to survive this chaos lies in the way you respond. And that is just what responsibility means.

It does not matter that you do not remember having chosen this challenge for yourself. It is now here and it is here for a purpose - to help you grow. No point in fighting against it, instead, use your energy to respond to it.

Before you feel like a knight facing your enemies, about to go into a battle, do this:

How would I feel if that problem no longer exists?
